He didn't hoover!!!
I don't know what he done last night, I was at yoga.
I mentioned to him this morning that I'd better hoover tonight as his mom's coming round. It was like a light being switched on with 'oh yeah, there does seem to be crap coming in from the garden'. Nothing like 'don't worry, I said I'd do it and I will' or 'dam, knew there was something I was meant to do last night'. Nothing. I explained that it would be a bad reflection on me if his mom saw the hallway, that she wouldn't think badly of son (which is right, my mom would be the same), but nothing.
So instead of going for a run tonight, I will be doing a hot wash, putting away the dried dark wash, cleaning mirrors and hoovering before I go to my ladies meeting. Rubbish. And thanks for listening.

Grrr
He didn't hoover....
I came in from work and he was home. That never happens so I knew something was wrong. He wasn't well (he can be a malingerer). Fair enough, although I have been know to clean cook and iron when I've not been well but anyway...
He was well enough to make very nice ginger biscuits though! Lets see what happens tonight. His mom is visiting tomorrow night & I really dont want crap on the floor then.

Update
So, I have been living with b/f for over three months now and thought I'd give you an update on how its going (I know your interested...).
It's going well I'm afraid to say. I wish there was some drama, some horrid sticking point that grinds, but there's not. Sometimes he leaves his cup in the hallway in the morning rather than the kitchen. Hardly a crime though.
I think the worse thing is when he says he's going to do something and doesn't. Like on Friday when he said he was going to hoover over the weekend. He didn't. And as he said he would, I feel I should let him, otherwise it would look like I'm 'oh he never does anything he says' or 'he's spotted how dirty the carpet is! I best get on with the hoovering'.
Its now Tuesday and it's still not done. He did say this morning he would hoover tonight, but I'm not sure if this is just another empty promise. Who knows??

Blood lust again...
We have some blue tits nesting in our garden, which is lovely! I've never had birds nesting so close to where I live before (well, not to my knowledge anyway) and its nice sitting in the garden watching the coming and going of adult birds feeding their babies.
Last night I went outside for my cigarette and tea after work and let the girls out as I normally do. There was a scrabble for the exit and great crowing from Rocky. She had found a dead baby blue tit! It must have either fallen from its nest or tried to fly and met with a gruesome death on the patio.
And that's where the fun started. All three of them were chasing each other around, desperately trying to get hold of the dead chick, smashing it on the floor trying to get a morsel. I went into the house to get something to pick the dead bird up with but by the time I came back out (less than 90 seconds, I'm sure) there was nothing to be seen - and I mean nothing - except a small feather still on Rocky's beak and three very contented blood thirsty birds cooing contently in their dust bath.
At least I can now dream that they're catching, killing and eating the mice in the garden...

I have got six friends waiting for me to 'friend' them on facebook.
One I've never heard of.
One I wish I'd never heard of.
One I have only ever seen in the pub - I only know who they are because their photo is of them in the pub.
I really cant be bothered with facebook anymore.

17 Again
No, this post isn't about how I feel when I'm snogging b/f on the sofa for far too long to be healthy, its the film. B/f and I went to see it over the weekend.
It was kind of ok, but like most things of this theme, I find it hard to 'feel' what the main characters are feeling as I don't have children. It must have been quite good though, 'cause b/f enjoyed it v much.

It's alive I tell you!
At long last we have caught our first live mouse! I noticed it last night, but to be honest, it could have been in there for a few days, I have been very lazy with checking them recently - let alone setting them!
Anyway, I took it to the cemetery this morning on my way to work. To be honest, its probably dead by now, eaten by either a cat or dog, but still...
